But there's nothing new in that of course. How odd that he can't predict these CMEs in advance if his forecasting system is based on solar activity. It has the potential to create an aurora that might be visible from the UK in the next few nights. But that is about all it will do. Might add a bit of extra atmospheric drag to the ISS and reduce the astronauts fertility too. Depends how hard it hits us - it is still very feeble now http://hfradio.org/aurora_globe.html Keep an eye out if the skies are clear. And to think that the anti-AGW brigade complain about the 'propaganda' of the pro-warmers..... Corbyn is one of the most monumental "weather prediction" charlatans the UK has ever produced. The Red Tops seem to love him for his wild claims. Only screaming Lord Monckton is more detached from reality. Corbyn does a wonderful line in ambiguous fortune teller predictions along the lines of "it will rain or go dark before morning". Regards, Martin Brown |

Panic !! http://www.weatheraction.com/display....asp?a=309&c=5 Richard Lots of snow and gales for us then. Doesn't say when. Doesn't look like either will occur. If they don't.......I'll bet he doesn't return to this on his site. He'll hope most people will quickly forget about it - and they will - they'll just remember Piers Corbyn, Weather Action (maybe) and the sensaitional headline. As a result, and not caring much about it, they'll probably think he's been correct (again).........even before the forecast has achieved outcome. That's how charlatans work. They make outrageous forecasts, don't return to them, unless they happen to turn out correct, make another one soon and claim the previous correct ones represent their forecasting abilities. It's just crap really, isn't it? |
