Default [WR] S.Essex - more sunshine

After a cloudy start there are now sunny periods and pleasant patches
of blue sky. Temperature up to 14C already.

Meanwhile http://www.landsendweather.info/ - Not exactly inspiring!

By the way, I think your bird photos are excellent.

Thanks Graham. It looks like we have switched the synchronisity with me
now getting the rain at night and the clearances in the day. Probably
won't last. Shame for you but a great relief for us!

Very mild with drizzle and fog on Dartmoor yet again. Temp +10C. All
surfaces at home wet again.
Green mildew is now covering a lot of surfaces which haven't dried out for
weeks.
My VW campervan has suffered a bit, but should clean up.
This is more like November than February. Still we get shut of all this grot
next week!

Cloud has been thickening here for the last hour, it did get up to 13.8C
here this morning but it is now a bit cooler.

I am not particularly bothered if temperatures next week are a bit lower as
long as we see the sun from time to time.

A better-than-expected day for much of the day: but was misty before
about 10am and the familiar stratus gloom has descended in the last
half hour or so.

So stratus-dominated has been this month that the days which have been
merely cloudy, rather than dull (last Saturday afternoon being a good
example) have seemed uncommonly bright! Even on such days, the extra
daylight has been really noticeable, but on the stratus days, it could
easily be a month ago.

Sorry this is Southampton I'm referring to.

Yes, something I'd never noticed before this year that how much darker
it is under stratus than cumulus - deeper layers I suppose.
