Just returned from Newquay. Quite extensive fog along the north coast.
Not getting far inland, typically 1 mile, quite thick on some cliff tops. Then a sunnier slot, then quite extensive cloud down the spine of Cornwall, then mainly sunny to the south. This is leading to a temperature variation of 5C between the north & south coasts. Even Culdrose was 5C warmer than Camborne around 14:00 (14C as opposed to 9C), so nearby sheltered south coast locations would be at least 15C. The sea fog was blowing up the valley over the Camborne site. Graham Penzance |
