Easterlies and dry for the Royal Wedding according to GFS.
Large High from Greenland across Iceland to Southern Scandinavia and the Low Countries, and slack low to the south and west. http://www.wetterzentrale.de/topkarten/fsavneur.html Forecast: Mainly bright with the possibility of a little son and air later. Len Wood Wembury, SW Devon |

This is for Hampshire. It's lucky it was changed that year, as the "normal" May bank holiday weekend was dire to say the least IIRC. Of course, what will probably happen this time is following a good last weekend and good this weekend, Easter and the Royal Wedding/May Day holiday will both be cool and changeable! Nick |

So I assume there is an error somewhere along the chain. Regards, Roger |

Like George, I'd always understand that it was 3rd June, but checking in Wikipedia that says the 2nd, both in its Elizabeth II article and in "List of coronations of British monarchs". -- John Hall "The covers of this book are too far apart." I remember a cold, cloudy and blustery day-mind you there plenty of them on that coast. Another highlight of the 2nd was my father listening to the wireless and hearing the announcement that Everest had been conquered.
