Hi, Martin,
Do they proof read anything? Perhaps they do and I'm just too old. I
don't usually comment on grammar on this ng - spent a whole work time
doing that, but I would hope some of my ex-pupils would spot that one.
Anyway, we still have St James' Park in the North-East and, dare I
say, it's far more exciting than the one mentioned in London!
Best wishes,
Ken

Of far greater, not to say global, significance is that on that
day I shall be 25,000 days old exactly.

Somewhere I remember reading that June the second was chosen for the
Coranation of our dear queen because statistically it had proved dry and
sunny over the years .
Yup you've got it , it peed down and was one of the coldest June days on
record.

It is interesting that you should say that, because I was just looking
at the record for April 29th as posted by Martin. Since 2003 it has
oscillated between warm and sunny one year and cool and cloudy the
next. If it was doing the same for June 2 in the 1940s and 50s then
perhaps, although the average was good, they should have waited until
the following year for above average weather.

Cheers, Alastair.
