Off camping from Friday until Tuesday in mid Hampshire, is it me or does it
look like a dire damp, soggy spell next weekend with the warm front creeping north from the continent? |

Plenty of time for the charts to change - it has been glorius down
here with a max on Thurs and sat' of 25.9c, otherwise 23/24c - cooler today 21/22c but not a cloud in the sky . Which village/town will you be camping in ? Not exactly mid Hants so has been pointed out to me by the more worthy half,
will be at Popham Airfield for a 3 day flying event so hopefully it will be tolerable ;-) John Athome wrote in message ... The latest GFS outlook (as at the time of this post) shows a very indeterminate precipitation pattern with, if anything, the highest risk over the far SE, East Anglia and the East Midlands. The ECMWF output suggests the blocking anticyclone will be further north with low pressure more evident over S. England. The outlook currently on the Met Office site is couched in language which suggests low confidence in any outcome. This sort of situation is often not well predicted by computer models. Bear in mind that only a few days ago the Met Office outlook out to 30 days was much less rain than normal for the foreseeable future. My forecast is "whatever they say, we will get what comes". -- - Yokel - Yokel posts via a spam-trap account which is not read. |

I cannot really tell at the moment. The 00z GFS had no rain on the 10 day outlook at all, but there is 2mm expected for London on Friday pm on the 12z. Bracknell 24/T+96hr (fri) gives a trough approaching the SE - so thats the showers and Northwood 25/T+120z for Sat gives another trough approaching the SE. http://www.cincfleetwoc.com/HF-Fax/N..._1200_T120.png EC ensembles are going for 5mm Thu for Holland and nothing much more after Satpm. All of that to say don't know really! Phil |
