Default Broken the drought in Essex

Hopefully the beginning of some "useful rain" here after the drought
of the last couple of months. 1.5mm around 04.00 and it's just
started again, with some moderate bursts from what reminds me of a
post-thundery sky.

The radar is appears promising too. Looks as if the showers are
holding-up rather than fizzling out as they approach, which has often
been the norm around here, although there's still time ......

But as one of the local farmers I know said to me the other night, any
rain at the moment is good rain.

Can I claim the credit for saying that it wouldn't reach here (as did
the forecast) ! Water butt half full now.

To be honest I thought you knew I read Buzzjack, though to be
fair I'm much more of a lurker than a poster on there.
