Just wondering what's caused the significant development of the patch
of heavy rain off the coast of NE England on the radar at http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/radar/ over the past 6 hrs or so, as I'd have thought that the very cool water out there would have had a negative influence on any convection. Whatever it is, I'm very envious of its intensity and extent and just wish it had happened down here. I've just come back from London and walking through Green Park reminded me of late August in a prolonged drought. The grass was almost totally brown and the dust was everywhere. - Tom. |
