There must be a few long-range forecasters and agencies wondering what
are the current odds on their forecasts for the summer proving correct. We'll see in September, of course and they all certainly have a chance to be correct; there's no way I'm going to gainsay their forecasts, as I don't believe that long-range forecasts are a great deal better than informed guesswork, but next week may prompt a few silly column inches and complaints, as the east, especially, is likely to be particularly cool from Monday onwards. A grizzly haar and a 14C max is no fun when you've been "told" it will be a hot and dry June. *)) I hope that next week is not going to be a forerunner of the summer to come..........*(( |
