Up to 50 years level of flooding in southern Norway.
Main roads like E6 and Riksvei 3 are closed at several pints. Main railway line in Norway is closed between Lillehammer and Dombås in the Gudbrandsdalen valley. Will be closed untill saturday at least, it seems. Bridges, roads, houses, garages damaged/taken by flooding. It is caused by stagnating coldfront from the lows over Britain. Main news in Norway now, see among others: (can be translated by translate.google.com) http://www.dagbladet.no/2011/06/10/n...flom/16871335/ http://www.gd.no/nyheter/article5634760.ece http://www.yr.no/nyheter/1.7668509 http://www.smp.no/nyheter/nordre/article347668.ece North Norway on the other hand has record temperatures, up to 30 deg. C from warm air flowing north of the lows coming from eastern Europe: http://www.yr.no/nyheter/1.7668436 Bjørn Sørheim |
