4mm here in Dawlish in one shower that lasted about 15 minutes.
Heaviest rain for a month. Coo! I won't have to water the veg tonight.
The Dawlish Rain Shield actually operated quite well, there looks to
have been a lot more rain just to our north, but with luck, it will be
breached completely on Sunday. *))

Yesterday we appeared to have had a shield Scotty would be proud of -
shower clouds all around for most of the day, but very little rain
actually got through.

Sunday should be the day Paul. I'm expecting full water butts at the
end of the day!

Especially interested to learn of expected ETA in Dorset. I would
prefer after 1125 when i finish an outside event. Or before 0830 so I
need not even start the said activity!

ETA 10 am if you believe the GFS model.

From my pov, the duration will be more important than the ETA.

Looks to be an all day affair. Rain tailing off and becoming light in
the evening.
BTW. Regarding the ETA. More realistically the GFS model perhaps is
only reliable to +/- 3 hrs at worst.

Could be wet in Dorset by 7 am, or you might have to wait until 1 pm
for the heavy rain.

In fact the rain started by 7am, here in Cheltenham.

In the end the system has rattled along quite a lot faster than the
predictions said it would. I'm sure you would have cancelled your
event Robin. I have full water butts with 13mm of rain by 9.00. That's
all I ask! Now, with luck, the heaviest rain will have blown through
by lunchtime and I'm hoping for some glimpses of the sun this
afternoon.
