Thunderstorm in Brussels this afternoon
Brussels on Thursday 16th June 2011
Cloudy morning. Abrupt heavy downpour of rain lasting several minutes at 10.15 local time. Brighter after midday with some sunshine but also developing TCu / Cb. Dark and threatening towards 16.00 followed by heavy (at times torrential) rain and occasional lightning and thunder for about half an hour. Some sunshine again subsequently and the sky cleared steadily during the evening. Mostly moderate SW to W wind.
