Default Mid Suffolk Thunderstorm but most rain missed me.

After measuring 15.6 mm of rain during 24hrs to 09Z this morning, the
morning remained cloudy with very light rain and drizzle at 10Z.
CU CB developed by 1200Z but showers passed to N of S of me. No PPN until
1700Z when a thunderstorm moved by to N, PPN just flirting with my garden,
Heavy rain across the fields to N for about an hour with thunder and
lightning almost overhead me. Edge of Blue sky continued just to S
throughout.
At 2100Z only 1.5mm here but there must have been large totals not far away
to North.

I was at Elevedon for the week and it turned out miles better than I
thought. A small T/S and a couple of heavy showers but otherwise pretty
good.

I passed by Elveden yesterday and noted farmers in that area still
irrigating their potato crops.

Also combines working on barley harvest in my area. Some fields cut and
straw baled.

3.0 mm here overnight last night.

Yes, I noticed that. We had an unexpected 3.0mm overnight here as well.
Lovely area by the way, in and around Thetford. Managed to "escape" a
couple of times for a walk in the real forest. Shouldn't be too critical
though because there was tons of wildlife inside Center Parcs which was
great for the kids.
