Default Now 7 days over 21C!

Now just seven days over 21C so far this summer. Long sunny spells today
pushed the temperature up to a very warm +22.5C. Highest temperature so far
this summer has been +23.8C which suits me just fine.
Not as hot as in Exeter though where once again it was a stifling 25C this
afternoon. It was a relief to arrive home today.
Garden is growing really well with the heat now (16-17C at 30cm depth) and
the soil is still moist with no need for watering apart from on the patio
and hanging baskets of course.

Default Now 7 days over 21C!

well up here in Cumbria have had x10 days over 21c - something seems
to be wrong there, Cumbria warmer than Devon!
agree though about not wanting it too hot - 19-20c would do me fine.
you don't want heat to make you feel lethargic.

With good rainfall since May everything is GREEN up here and the
ground just hanging in at about moist, but the last few days have
dried it out quite well.
30cm soil was 17.2c today.
on 23-24th was at 15.8c

Up here in Cumbria I have had x10 days over 21c - and I thought Devon
should be colder than Cumbria.
have to agree re the unpleasantness of hot weather - not nice. Give me
19-20c anytime and a slight cooling breeze.
My job entails wearing uniform and it and hot weather do not mix well.
With all the rain we have had up here since May everything is GREEN -
but have now today recorded code 0 for state of ground, previously
code 1 for about last 2 week.
30cm soil now 17.2c having been at 15.8c 23/24th

Up here in Cumbria have now had x10 days at 21c+ (even had x2 over
25c!!!!!!!!) - thought Devon should be warmer than Cumbria!
agree re the unpleasantness of being toooo hot (about 22c) - give me
19-20c anytime with a slight breeze.
With all the rain that we have had up here since May everything is
GREEN.
But today recorded code 0 for state of ground, the last 2 weeks being
code 1.
the previous 4 Julys have seen me record 100m+ of rain, but will fall
short of that this year, currently 69.2mm, but a few places in Cumbria
are alreday above the 100mm mark.
30cm soil now at 17.2c - was 15.8 on 23-24th.
