Any thunder with you yet? *Only the single rumble here
about 4 hours ago which brings our yearly total of days
with thunder to 4, still below the long term average to
this point in the year.

This is easily our wettest day of the year so far with more
rain falling in the first 3 hours of my 24 hour measuring
period (0900-0900Z) than in any other *whole* such 24
hour period in 2011.

Thankfully I missed this! Was in the Midlands yesterday and Cheshire
today, virtually no rain during daylight hours but some heavy showers
at dusk.
