Default WR Montpellier (FR)

Having just returned from this wonderful part of France I was
intrigued to experience that even the acclaimed Meteo France can get
the forecast horribly wrong sometimes.
The weather for the most part was in the high 20s and sunny . However,
the middle part of the week on Wednesday was overcast and humid with
deep rumblings of thunder into the early evening. Only a sprinkling of
rain resulted in the early hours of Thursday. The forecast on
Wednesday evening was for rain am giving way to heavy cloud in the
afternoon. Friday was also forecast to be cloudy all day.
In reality Thursday dawned clear - the remnants of the storm could be
seen in far west - to lead to a mostly sunny day with a high of 28c.
Friday was even warmer, 31c and sunny all day.
Does anyone know if this part of Languedoc experiences a micro climate?
