Todays rainfall out of synch. with morning forecast. Morning story was for
wet morning - improving afternoon.

I measured only 1.5 mm at 0900 Z, by which time road surfaces were drying.
At 2100Z there was a further 1.3mm in my guage.

I was in S. Norfolk where all dried up nicely through morning wiith no rain
until mid afternoon when there was an hour long spell of mostly heavy rain.
I note that a nearby guage is reporting 10mm since midnight and that is only
about 20 mi to NE of me!

I was away from home yesterday but according to my AWS there was cloudburst
here in Woodford Green suburban Essex between 4-5pm bst,with around 15mm
,my actual total for the day was 17.8mm according to the Snowden gauge
