UK Outlook for Friday 30 Sep 2011 to Sunday 9 Oct 2011:

For most of us, this weekend promises to be fine, and very warm for the
time of year, especially over central and eastern parts of England. The
further north and west one goes, the thicker the cloud is likely to be,
and the stronger the wind will be; and for parts of Northern Ireland and
western Scotland, rain is quite likely too. Into next week, the high
pressure will gradually change its orientation, transferring to the
southwest, so that we are likely to be under the influence of less-warm
northwesterly winds. During this transition, almost anywhere could see a
little rain, but on the whole, the predominantly dry picture will
continue, and despite a fall in temperatures, values are still likely to
be pleasantly above normal for most people.

UK Outlook for Monday 10 Oct 2011 to Monday 24 Oct 2011:

The signals for this period are for a good deal of settled weather,
especially in southern areas, as high pressure looks like being dominant
for a good part of the month. This does not rule out relatively brief
periods of wet weather, with these more especially in the north, and
perhaps most likely around mid-month. As we head through October, and
the nights get longer; temperatures consequently are likely to become
lower, especially at night, although some pleasantly warm days are still
expected.
