Default [WR] Wet day on Dartmoor 24/10/11

24 hour rainfall to 1800.

Haytor - 34.8mm (5" manual gauge)
Postbridge 47.6mm (quality AWS)
Wettest area I estimate to just west of Postbridge. Princetown may be
interesting. Nothing exceptional.

Can we have some of it here in Northamptonshire, please. We're still
officially in a drought situation. If something doesn't give soon, I can see
the whole of East Anglia becoming a deprived area, with all the farmers
going bust. Birds Eye won't need to freeze the peas, they'll be ready dried
(it there are any)!!!

0.3mm in Essex! Might creep up to 0.6mm.
Belfast looked quite extreme as well.

Just by way of a change ,it might be worth mentioning how well both Will and
the Met Office handled this mini deluge , tho the regular carpers will no
doubt mention the actual areas forecast were at least fifteen and three
quarter miles out .......
