.... some sort of convergence line developed this morning hereabouts
aligned roughly SSW-NNE, extending back into the Channel : first rain ~0935Z, then individual (visible) vigorous cells developing/propagating along flow around 0935 & 1055Z produced moderate, isolated heavy showers; this lot ceased around 1155Z having given us ~ 4 mm of rain. Then 1235Z, single rumble of thunder, with light rain, soon heavy rain, another rumble (both apparently IC), then moderate, isolated heavy rain until abrupt cessation 1307Z: total rainfall in just over half-an-hour 8 mm. Still looking threatening so we might get some more - though from radar the whole zone appears to be drifting towards the NW atm.
