Okay 18z not finished yet; and is now as I type it's into anyone's
guess territory, but that high just keeps dominating Europe and Scandinavia with surely very cool air forming over Eastern Europe and the old western Soviet Union. Lots of fog and frost with the UK and particularly the east and SE not that far away. Reminds me of 62. Okay the latest at the end of the run http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn3841.png |

Nevertheless I'm sure these were more prevalent in byegone eras and as you say, if it hangs around eventually it should lead to some form of cold weather, especially if it migrates north a bit. Will -- On th 12z not as cold as the 6z but -10 temps right into the heart of the Ukraine which was edging westwards but backs of easrt a tad. I see a couple of -20's right in th heart of western russia. I do like it though. |
