Thought it would be interesting to forward: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGVzZvX4J6U

From 23 mins onwards he starting giving out his forecast.

"Huge snowfalls": Dec 1-2, Dec 14-15 are the dates for heavy snow in a
period from 27 Nov - 28 Dec for Britain. 80% certain (there's the get-
out clause, obviously!).

Judging from a vague consensus from what I've seen in the models, I
wouldn't be surprised if snow and prolonged cold is nowhere near as
prevalent this winter.

Bit of a step beyond what it is possible to infer from published
models there Mr. Dixon! However, a small venture into the realms of
fantasy at 16 days on the 12z gfs shows............possible snow
showers in London on 1st December!

Nor would I, purely on probability grounds; few winters have as much
snow, or as long a period of severe cold, as we had last December.
