Looks like a lee wave effect gale tomorrow. Met O warning out anyway. Regular info. here for Copley:- http://www.weatherlink.com/user/copl...mary&headers=1 The severest gales can sometimes develop further east, lets hope so, don't like really strong ones! Best wishes, Ken Copley, nr Barnard Castle, Teesdale http://www.kencook.magix.net |

There are likely to be some very powerful lee gusts in the NE, as per the Met Office warning. -- Andy http://www.romansleighweather.co.uk/ |

Like to take my K8 glider up there. Get someone to give me a tug up to the required height and away I'd go. Got my gliding wings when in the ATC as a young lad. Sedbergh and Kirby cadet gliders. Those were the days. So I'd know what I was doing. Well maybe. :-) Len Wood Wembury ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

I have no idea how a glider can tow another glider, never mind climb to that height. Someone with a long rope, jumping out of a control tower.. How would that work, how many pulley blocks would that require, my grasp of mechanical advantage is ....errrm ...not. |
