Felt really cold during the day today (measured 6C at around midday),
however when I was out this evening it felt significantly warmer (it was drizzling as well). Just checked the Met Office surface observations for Heathrow and it appears the temperature has steadily climbed through the evening and is now in double figures. At this rate I'll be able to warm the house by opening all the windows. Is there a warm sector going through currently? It is not obvious on the Met Office pressure charts. It is interesting to see how advection can completely dominate the diurnal cycle at this time of year. |
