Default [WR] Stunning day in S.Essex

You really couldn't get a more stunning day in mid January than today.
Temperature is almost 11C in clear blue skies. There is enough breeze to
keep the air clear and the ground is dry. Fantastic day to be out and
about. (Just returned home before someone states the obvious!)
Dave

the skies have that 'cut glass' look - so clear that any silhouette is
a razor sharp outline. And after a stunning sunrise this morning...

While not so very far to the NW of you, Dave, it has been dull and grey with
continuous drizzle here all day with intermittent fog.

Stunning indeed, Dave. I hope that it stays this way for the rest of
the winter. January thus far running at +3.5șLTA in Epping.
Even the fish in the pond have not bothered with their usual winter
disappearance to the depths.

.... and not so far from you, Norman, it has been a splendid day with
enormous visibility. Pity I'm working, as it is an excellent day for
walking and photography!

Isn't the weather in this country marvellously varied?! It makes reliable
forecasting a very difficult task, though!!!

I guess that happens when the water temperature drops to the temperature
of maximum density, 4C, and the deeper water stays warm whilst the
surface cools.
