Couldn't help but notice that the ground looked wet, rather than frozen, on
the Svalbard webcam this morning. When I checked the temperature at 07.00GMT is was 4.2C, which made it warmer there than here in the UK. In recent years, it seems to have been the norm that temperatures are at least around -16C or colder.
