M00/M01 Much the same in Cranleigh, as far as I've been able to judge by pulling back a curtain in an unlit room every 20 minutes or so and peering out.. ![]() With not all the automatic stations reporting hourly on the Met Office's webpage for the SE reliably giving the current weather, I've realised that the visibility that they are reporting is probably providing a fair idea of whether it's snowing and how heavily. For example, Heathrow isn't shown as having snow falling at 2100, but the visibility of 0.8 km is a bit of a give-away. -- John Hall "The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it." At Cranleigh we finished up with about 8-9cm (I haven't actually measured it). There's a /very/ slow thaw this morning, with an overcast sky. The snow is "sticky", tending to adhere to the shovel when I was clearing my path this morning. I imagine that it would be ideal for making snowmen or snowballs. -- John Hall "The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it." George Bernard Shaw |
