Some of you in the SE have my commiserations :-)

Will, when you posted this in 2012, little did you expect the thread would
really spring to life in 2015!

Hi Graham, nothing surprises me anymore where this newsgroup is concerned.

Winter '47 was too early for me. However winter '62/63 remains
fresh in my mind even now. It put me off cold and the white
stuff for life !

I don't remember 1947 either, but I do remember 1962/3. No
ghastly lacrosse or hockey for weeks on end, and instead we were
allowed to go sledging. Magic! That was the start of my love
affair with winter sports.

Just a gentle reminder that not everybody with an interest in
the weather is in love with snow.

I don't like it when it gets in the way and/or causes accidents.
Otherwise, I love it.

Anne

Nor me, but unlike your good self, I don't flounce away in a hissy fit proposing everyone should leave and join a new forum, then return when no-one does what I want, then killfile as many people as I can, but snipe from behind a killfile, when it suits me; do I*))

Maybe we should all stick to just talking about the weather, which this original post was referring to.

It was meant as a joke to inject some humour into a desperate thread.
