Actually on AGW we are playing for much higher stakes than that. The OP issued challenge "money where mouth is" and Dawlish has offered him a bet for £10k. Now lets see if he has the balls to take it up. Actually Lawrence started the thread to ask what the AGW 'believers' were doing in financial terms to reduce emissions. Would you for example be prepared to bet your house? -- Col Bolton, Lancashire 160m asl I've already said what is acceptable to me. Now I'm awaiting larry. I think he's a hypocrite, constantly cherry-picking silly variable data to back his assertions that the globe isn't warming. He started this discussion to try to press his ideas that his *opponents* are hypocrites and the title was chosen very deliberately. Don't be taken in. Then there's the veiled threat (again) that he's been looking at my house on google earth! (Why would anyone do that, before he even opened this discussion??). He's made physical threats before, as you know. Lawrence is exposed and when that happens he gets upset. He's exposed, because he is a hypocrite; expousing one thing, but being afraid to back that view with actual cash, but he still tries to criticise others' lifestyles. Now he's in a corner and doesn't quite know where to turn and it's his own silly fault, I'm afraid. I'm fed up with it and I'm certainly not alone there. |
