I will be sorry if you go, I enjoy your posts. Mike McMillan Garden Isle So do I, especially when we avoid stupid AGW arguments which are utterly pointless and boring. At least the weather looks like turning colder and more interesting next week with some snow around! I totally agree Will, I can't even be bothered to read them anymore I just delete them and move on. We could all argue forever more, life's too short. Let's hope something changes next week, two days of this muck is enough for anyone. Damp, drizzly and foggy today with temps around 10.8c, can't see much chance of any sun this week ![]() Graham (North Staffs) It certainly was a bit grim today, Graham. We had thick fog and drizzle back before sunset. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. |

yeah lawrence, when your out of prison in 2042
can you stop ****ing well replying to him! lol On 28/02/2012 12:35 PM, Alastair wrote: I would just like to urge everyone to do as I do and not to read Dawlish's posts. When I did read then they were either bland and uninformative, or rude and upsetting. So long as you don't read them then you can't be upset by them. Moreover, you are not goaded into replying to him and then recirculating his messages under your name. It is too much to hope that everyone will ignore him and that he will then go away. But at least you can protect yourself by not reading his posts. Cheers, Alastair. |

Increasingly, this Newsgroup has become unrecognisable from the one I
first remember discovering over 10 years ago, and we're all the poorer for that. Although I've struggled to resist it, I've become thoroughly fed-up with the raw unpleasantness that some posts to this Group have contained, of late. They're introverted, boring, narrow-minded, disrespectful and nasty, and are bloody awful to have to wade through but they are difficult to avoid as they often pop up in the most unlikely places. What's worse, they don't add one iota to the sum of knowledge, nor are they in the spirit of sensible discussion which I always thought this Group was set-up to promote. To those who take delight in all this: Go and fight your petty spats somewhere else. I've neither the time or patience to listen to them any longer. - Tom. |

Put a number of folk in their 50s and 60s together as a scientific experiment and see how long it takes them to behave like primary school kids, when their cosy little clique is shattered by a minority with a different view to themselves. No need. It has happened before my very eyes. Thankyou. I now have enough material for my Phd thesis. |

In any case, I can't believe that anyone who quotes lyrics from Neil Young songs is bad. During all the times Lawrence & I have replied to each others posts he's never said anything to annoy me, and he's frequently so funny. The fact that we may disagree at times matters not.
