Some early ones now showing! Some are over around 'ere. Though some daffs are still in flower, and have been since late-January. I suspect the warm, settled weather forecast for next week will finish them all off and they'll go to seed quickly. I did notice a few daffs still in bud or just opening, that was higher up and where they're in the shade. Bluebells and ransoms are greening up nicely, they'll flower early this year methinks, maybe early April (normally they're at their best from mid-April onwards). It will probably be a daffodil-less Easter. Not often that happens ![]() -- Nick G Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

Not often that happens ![]() We had a fairly late Easter a few years ago (during the run of mild winters when people thought it would never snow again in lowland Britain) when the daffs were out so early I was thinking we would be having tulips for Mothering Sunday (3 weeks before Easter) because the daffs would be finished by then. -- - Yokel - Yokel posts via a spam-trap account which is not read. |
