It has been a generally mild winter with the exception of the early
February cold spell which produced a significant spell of snow which
lasted on the lawn for over a week.There were no ice days. It has also
been a particularly pleasant winter in that there has been a lot of
sunshine. January and February were especially sunny compared to the
same months of the previous winter. There was also very little in the
way of "cold rain" and there were yet again no gales.
