.... abrupt onset of rain/hail shower this Friday afternoon at 1230Z,
majority PPN element *small* hail, which for a time covered the grassed
areas. Then a period of moderate/heavy rainfall, with a single discharge
around 1315Z, all activity ceased by 1330Z. Total rainfall (and some
melted hail where not 'bounced-out') of 8mm.

Plenty more TCU/CB about but they all gave us the miss this time around
so just a single event today.

Total number of days thunder heard this month now 4. This beats our
previous highest in a month (short record though - 2007 June onwards),
of 3 in each month June and July 2009.
