Hi
I've added another chart to my CET site which might be of interest to you.... I decided to add up all the days since 1772 in the CET series when the mean was 20°C or above ('hot' days) and produce a bar chart with 10 year moving average and trend line. I did the same for all days when the mean temperature was less than 0°C and produce a 'negative' bar chart (you'll get the idea when you see the chart) and added another moving average and trend for this as well. There seems to have been a reduction in 'cold' days from 20 to just over 8 in the last 240 years, and an increase in the hot days from around 2 to nearly 5 in the same period. Don't forget that with the chart component you can: (1) Zoom in using the buttons. (2) Drag the chart with the left mouse button down. (3) Turn the series on or off by clicking on them in the legend. (4) Input the start and end dates in the two edit boxes. (5) Print by clicking the printer toolbar icon. (6) Output the chart to either PNG, JPG, PDF or SVG by clicking the export toolbar icon. The quality of all these formats is extremely good. http://www.centralenglandtemperature.co.uk/hotcold.html Bruce. |
