Temperature was 18.1C @ 09:00 today in warm sunshine through a thin
veil of cirrostratus. The frontal cloud has tended to thin & disperse as it's edged eastwards this morning, allowing bright conditions with sunny spells to persist, though the cloud is thickening now. Winds much lighter than forecast falling virtually calm at times. Even Pz heliport only reporting 6mph much of the morning. Set to go downhill very soon. Lovely afternoon on the south coast of west Cornwall yesterday. The sunniest 'official' place in the SW may have been Camborne with 1.4 hours, but many spots right on the south coast saw virtually unbroken sunshine from mid afternoon. Close to 20C with something resembling a wave (at last) at Sennen around 16:00, in calm conditions. Proper handsome. Graham Penzance |
