Maximum today of 10.9°C beats my previous June lowest max of 11.6° in

Just got back from street party and have never felt so cold for many a year. What ever happened to Global Warming !!! I know what you mean Keith!! Wet and cold here with 23.1mm in the last 24 hours, max just 8.6c for a short while earlier this afternoon. Current temp 4.9c and still raining. I did notice sleet reported at Leek (Staffs) 04.00 on the met office website ![]() Graham (North Staffs) |

So I'm looking at a 52 year record here. The Queen is jinxed when it come to the weather, must be something Bristish about it! Then again, Charles and Diana and Wills n' Kate had very good weather - and in 2002, the "normal" late May bank holiday weekend was utterly foul IIRC while the golden jubilee weekend as a reasonable mix of two sunny, two cloudy but dry days.
