Default Today's model interpretation (12/06/12)

Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Saturday.
Issued 0352z, 12/06/12.

A low is likely to move across the UK this weekend, bringing rain for all.

ECMWF: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Recm1201.gif
ECM shows a low over England and Wales, resulting in NNE'lies for Scotland
and Northern Ireland. There's a col on day 6, followed by another low over
the UK on day 7. SW'lies spread across the UK on day 8 and on day 9 they
persist. Day 10 sees a ridge build across England and Wales with SSW'lies
elsewhere.

MetO: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif
As with ECM, a low covers England and Wales and NNE'lies affect Scotland and
Northern Ireland. On day 6 the low moves NE'wards, leaving NW'lies over the
UK.

GFS: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn1201.png
Low pressure covers Scotland, leading to SW'lies elsewhere. There are
lighter WSW'lies and SW'lies on day 6 as a trough moves eastwards, followed
by southerlies from a high to the east on day 7. Days 8 to 10 see a col over
the UK.

GEM: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rgem1201.gif
GEM has a low over the North Sea and a trough over England. All areas except
the Midlands east lie under northerlies.

JMA: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rjma1201.gif
The Japanese run brings a low over the Celtic Sea and southerlies for much
of England and Wales. Elsewhere winds are NE'lies.
