Hi
Clearly we have had a wet few days, but how wet. I always struggle trying to collate decent rainfall data from these events. So many gauges but much of the data locked away from the public !! What is listed is often confusing as per time span, midnight-midnight 0900-0900hrs etc So if there are any Cumbrians out there can you please send me your rainfall data for the last few days. I would really like the standard 0900-0900hrs(1000-1000hrs) but any data is gratefully received The new site at Blencathra nr Keswick at the bottom of the mountain sharing its name is looking the wettest at 88mm but I think this is a midnight to midnight figure. Other reports of 100mm plus in Borrowdale. I,m sure there a few learned colleagues aswell that may see this and send me some decent data. Seathwaite rain gauge does spring to mind !! cheers many thanks Paul Crabtree Brampton, Cumbria www.bramptonweather.co.uk |
