Thunder to start the morning then heavy rain throughout the day with some
torrential bursts 39.6 mm in 12 hours. Lovely summer continues then ![]() If the 2nd wettest, and dullest June on record wasn't bad enough, so far the first 6 days of July has produced 106% of the monthly rainfall and just 10 hours of sunshine. If this continues the 2012 Summer rainfall and sunshine figures on September 1st will make for very interesting reading. Graham (North Staffs) |

Graham (North Staffs) Well the forecasters are saying that there is no sign of any significant change for the rest of the month. If that holds, then it would take a pretty stonking August to stop this summer going down in the record books. Thus we either get an August heatwave or a record breaking memorable summer, either way it makes it interesting. |

I'm hoping for a very warm and sunny September to make up for this miserable summer, and I go away then ![]() Must admit we were so lucky to visit the IOW for a week in May for what seems like the only very warm and sunny spell of the year. It was like being on the med for a week, then we had to return to more of the same ![]() Started bright this morning but cloud rolling in now. Graham (North Staffs) |
