At the half way point of Summer 2012, the day time temperature has averaged 18.0°C in Coventry, 2.1°C below the 30 year average for the city, with the monthly mean (14.4°°C) 1.2C below normal.. In the first half of Summer 2012, the rainfall total (218.4mm) was 257% of the 30-year average for the city. Thre was a large sunshine deficit in the first half of summer 2012, with just 144.6 hours of sun in Coventry; this is just 54% of the 30-year city average.
