Because I go trout fishing on Stithians Reservoir I take a fairly keen
interest in the water levels there. Current readings can be found here for all the larger reservoirs in the South West Water area: http://www.southwes****er.co.uk/inde...articleid=1501 Having spoken to a few of my fellow anglers, none of whom could remember when the reservoir was full during the angling season I emailed the Water Board to ask when was the last time the reservoir was full during the summer months and this is the reply I got: "Thank you for your recent email regarding Stithians Reservoir. The exceptional wet weather over the past few months has meant that Stithians is now full for the first time since early 2011. Looking back at the historical storage data, Stithians was last full during the summer months for a short period in June 1993." It will be interesting to see how long it remains full this summer. -- MCC |
