It feels like it's going to be a very hot day - one for staying in the relative cool of indoors :-) Yes, that was *my* cloud ![]() Always going to be a marginal day here with the front that close. But turned out pretty good in the end, max of 22.7C with warm sunshine coming and going. 25 miles further south it was probably glorious. Cloud now seeming to clear somewhat perhapthe front is eding a little north again. Similar tomorrow but from the local foreast it seems it may clear from the south in the afternoon, and it will be hot if it does. But wriggling fronts are always difficult to forecast as even relatively minor changes in position can make a world of difference to actual conditions. -- Col Bolton, Lancashire 160m asl |

After a sunny morning it abruptly became cloudy for a while in the afternoon but the sun returned later. With 10 hours of sunshine it's the sunniest day since 29th May. Uncomfortably warm while out walking this afternoon with the max temp 23.7. I'm looking forward to the much cooler weather that's on the way later this week :-) -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. |
