RMK: We've probably been lucky but it has turned out very much
better than the wet day that was forecast. It's been a mostly dry
day with sunny intervals here and quite warm and muggy. There was
a brief sharp shower just after 1030z then between 1330z and 1345z
thunder was rumbling as a storm passed by to the north. We got
only a few spots of rain here. It turned out to be an excellent
morning on the golf course and I fielded quite a few disparaging
comments about weather forecasting and forecasters! Max
temp 19.0 and there's been very little wind.

Totally agree Norman, another very poor forecast, one of many this Summer
for these parts!
Apart from a few rumbles of thunder and the odd shower, today as been mostly
cloudy but mostly dry.
Little bit of sun trying to come through now at last!!
Sunday's forecast of a dry & bright day worries me, will probably turn our
wetter than Saturday

Not been as good everywhere.
I have travelled through several down pours today between Manchester and Sheffield. Lots of water pouring of the land over snake pass. As I passed Stanage the sky looked amazing. Then travelling down Ringinglow towards Sheffield the rain was torrential. Heavier than anything I have seen for a few years. Pretty much continuous moderate rain since then in Sheffield.

Thanks.
