Brussels on Friday 5th October 2012
Light rain before daybreak - then mostly dry but overcast this morning with a fresh and blustery SW wind. Moderate rain started around 13.30 local time and continued until 16.30. Brighter with sunny intervals for a few minutes after the rain but cloud soon closed in again. Fresh SW wind in the morning veered NW and decreased at the cold front in the early afternoon; light WSW wind from late afternoon. Mild morning in the warm sector - temperature fall from about 17°C to 14°C between 13.00 and 14.00. The surroundings of Brussels Midi (far left-hand side of the map) look dismal at the best of times - and even more so in the rain.
