RMK: The rain petered out during the past hour. There's a raw wind.

15-09z: Tg 3.9 00-24z: Sun 0.4
Rainfall total for the past 7 days is 98.5 mm. For the month of
November to date the total is 122.7 mm. This is bang on the ELTA
for the whole month so not an exceptional month here. The rainfall
total for the year to date is 1354.2 mm. That's 120% of the ELTA
for the whole year so it is certainly turning out to be a very wet year.
It has also been a very dull year. The sunshine total for the year
to date is only 858.6 hours so we might struggle to make 900 hours
for the whole year.

I make your ELTA 1128.5mm, which is actually similar to Penzance (1140mm 1961-1990, or 1218.6mm 1981-2010) probably the only element of the climate here that is similar with yours!

YTD 1194.5mm, a long way from my wettest years, 1544mm in 2000 & 1512 in 2002.

Sunshine for the 1st 10 months 1336.2 (over the moors 4 miles NW at Bosullow) which is distinctly dull for here, 85-90% of normal, no long term records to be more precise.

Yes, with some help from Philip Eden, the ELTA here is 1127 mm for the 30-year
period 1981-2010.

I don't have any long-term sunshine records but I suspect that this year will
be amongst the least sunny over a long period of time. I'll be interested to
read what Graham in Weston Conyey has to say at the end of the year. He has
experienced a similarly sunless year.

Just totalled up my rainfall to-date and it is 1223 mm. That makes a
mockery of the fact that I live in one of the drier areas of the SW
where my 'normal' rainfall is somewhere between 700 & 800 mm.

Sunshine is also way down this year with the total so far this year at
1610 hours. If December is cloudy then this year could even beat last
year's miserable total of 1681 hours. And to think, I recorded a
respectable 2019 hours in 2010, despite the dull July & August.

Caveat here is that I live a little nearer the sea now, being 6 miles
down the Otter Valley, and I would expect my new location to have a
slightly sunnier climate.

Not quite as wet here Norman but wet enough!
Was looking like a very dry month until the 20th.

85mm in the last 7 days, yet another month with over 100mm, that's now 6 out
of the last 8!!
Lots of flooding in Staffs.

Over a 1000mm for the year so far.............still a few wetter years since
2000,
it's ranked 3rd at the moment behind 2000 and 2008, still a month to go

Very dull here too, we are well short of 950 hours , we may struggle up to
1000 if were lucky
