Rain, sleet and then snow overnight - 5 cm general snow cover here at dawn this morning. At least one rumble of thunder around 07.00 local time. Cloudy start with further light snow showers, but bright from mid-morning with broken cloud and sunshine at times. Light rain showers around 14.00 and 15.30. Gradual thaw of lying snow during the day but 1 cm or so remains on the ground this evening; roofs also still covered. Fairly light mostly W wind.
