It rained 4 hours non stop yesterday afternoon, which seems to push the forecast of 'showers' a bit. 48 hours to 09:00 today saw 18.7mm. A heavy shower @ 08:30 saw the temperature dip to 4C & sleet. It dropped to 3.6C at Land's End. Since then another intense hail shower at 10:15, which covered surfaces.
It's also windy, mean speeds reaching F7 at Land's End, http://www.landsendweather.info/ or in what now passes for a weather forecast the meaningless 'Severe gale force in gusts' On the plus side we have seen some sunshine today, yesterday was just plain wet. Still soon be the shortest day, then comes Spring. Graham Penzance |
