Well. There's been much talk over recent years regarding SSW-no that's not south, south westerlies, but Sudden Stratospheric Warming or moaning if you are a follower of Net weather and TWO. Anyhow it would seem to me that the models somehow for a feint moment picked up the cyber net buzz of about two thousand English speaking weather nuts and started to believe in the hype of SSW and then saw fit to start reflecting the supposed change in their models with the GFS being the most susceptible to internet cyber pressure and then started to show something arising from the lower latitudes creating high pressure over the whole of the UK and then developing into tasty potential cold weather scenario from mid January onwards. But over the course of the recent days the models and the GFS in particular has caught up with its senses and succumbed to reality and given us the New Years gift of off.....yawn.......flattened westerly's yet again.
Mind you that Stratavarious always was a bit of a fiddler . |
