Up in North Yorkshire it is a beautiful sunny blue sky day following a
pretty vicious overnight frost down to -6C over a large area. The roads
were wet last night and are now like glass where they are not gritted.

Airtemp is still -5.4C now and -6C at Topcliffe (a local cold spot).
It would have gone colder but a mist formed and protected us a bit.

RMK: Dry all day. Sunny periods this morning then mostly
cloudy in the afternoon. Hardly a breath of wind, which is very
unusual for here. Still 5cm lying snow. Max temp +0.1 so not
quite our first ice day of the winter.

Big ice day here Norman.

Min -5.7c

Mac -2.8c

Mostly cloudy today with early fog slowly thinning through the day.
The rime covering the trees and wires which look so good this
morning still looked as good later this afternoon as I returned from work.
Still plenty of snow cover with just over 3cms lying.
Just a mile or so down the road but at lower altitude no rime at all.

Current temp -3.9c

And you were moaning the other day too!
I haven't fallen below 0C yet in this spell.
Mind you, 5 consecutive days of sleet/snow falling and 1 day lying so
reasonably wintry I suppose.
