With the wind picking up from the east and developments for tomorrow
from the south, thought I'd have close look temperatures over the continent. Bulgium and Holland have been well down for some days now so could get interesting tomorrow. Looking East (19th January 13:00gmt METARS) Norway Oslo -12 °C Stavanger -4 °C Bergen -2 °C Sweden Stockholm -14 °C Goteborg -11 °C Sundsvall -6 °C Finland Helsinki -12 °C Turku -11 °C Denmark Copenhagen -3 °C Esbjerg -2 °C Others Amsterdam -4 °C Oostend -3 °C Brussels -3 °C Paris -1 °C Prague -7 °C Berlin -6 °C Warsaw -8 °C Gdansk -6 °C Moscow -13 °C Southend-on-Sea 1 °C Me 0.7°C @ 13:50, DP -5.0°C, which is probably the more important one currently. Belgium and Holland have been well down for some days now so could get interesting tomorrow. Average 5 cm snow expected in Belgium tomorrow from the frontal system approaching from France. I am looking forward to that. The old snow that fell in Brussels last Monday night and Tuesday morning is now getting dirty and trampled down. However, there is a possibility of freezing rain in southern Belgium later tomorrow - I hope we don't get that here. Colin Youngs Brussels |
